I bought
this in Aug '82 for £325 and drove it for just 10 days. The nuts
on a rear wheel worked loose and the wheel fell off. Luckily I was only
going about 30mph and the only damage was the wheel itself ( the studs
caught the edge of the rim ) and the pickup bed came away from the chassis
as the wheel hit the wheel arch.
When I got it home and took the bed off to get to the broken mountings, I found that the parts of the chassis that weren't visable with the bed in place were completely rotten. It then sat in the driveway for six months until a mate offered me £50 for it and I let it go. |
