The third generation Celica was introduced as a Coupe and Liftback in only ST trim with the 2.0 21R engine, but was joined a few months later by the 2.8 5M-GE powered Supra.

The late 83 facelift saw flared arches and wider wheels for the Supra, and new headlights and XT badges for the Coupe and Liftback, and new tail lights all round.

What we didn't get

The Americans got the 2.2 litre 22R engine and a few different trim levels, including this GTS which had the Supra 14X7 alloys and wheel arch flares and a few of the Supra interior goodies.

America also got a convertible.
