Create a Super mirror

The Japanese mirrors are self retracting but they don't have the heated glass of the UK spec cars. However, you can have your cake and eat it too.

To combine the self-retracting of the Jap mirrors and the heated glass of the UK ones you will need parts from all of them.

What you do is take the heater wiring (the plug with the yellow leads) from the UK mirror and thread it into the Jap motor unit. The original sleeving won't accommodate the extra wires so you will have to remove it. I replaced it with heatshrink sleeving, but wrapping with electrical tape would have done just as well.

The remaining parts of the mirror are common to both so just rebuild them with the best bits (although, obviously, you're going to need the UK glass with it's built in heating element).
